Monterey Bay Academy

Monterey Bay Academy is a private, Christian, college-preparatory, high school located in La Selva Beach, California. Ninety-seven percent (97%) of all graduates go on to a four-year college.

MBA is a gated school, surrounded by strawberry fields, with over one-kilometer of its own private beach. Ninety-five percent (95%) of all students live on campus. All teachers, administrators, and support staff also live on campus.

ECI offers two programs through MBA.

Study Abroad Program (F-1):  International students may enter at any time of year and remain in the U.S. as long as they are a full-time students in good standing. The school year begins in late August. ECI takes students off-campus each weekend for shopping and local activities.

Summer English Intensive Immersion Programs:  Scheduled from early June to mid-August, this program is for serious students who want to focus on improving their reading, writing, speaking, and TOEFL score. Participants reside in the school dormitories while they attend classes and educational outings from early morning through the afternoon, Monday through Friday. ECI also provides all-day outings to San Francisco, San Jose, Monterey, Carmel, and Santa Cruz. While the summer program is "open enrollment," most students choose to enter the full 8-week program or enter at the mid-point. Preference is given to students attending the full program.
